The 2020 Capital Christmas Tree passes through Park County, Colorado

The 2020 Capital Christmas Tree passes through Park County, Colorado

January 31, 2021 Posted by Stephanie Cantu Donations No Comments

This past year, the Capitol Christmas Tree was chosen from the Grand Mesa and by all means, transporting the tree is no small feat.

Every year this project includes finding a tree, designing and ordering ornaments all the while, getting a 104-foot tractor-trailer ready to transport the tree across the country.

This past year the tree traveled from Grand Mesa through Park County and some of the residents were able to take some photos! We want to thank Kevin Copeland and Allison Tesh Hansel for donating these to the Park County Local History Archives!

Want to read more about how the forest service picks this tree yearly? See more at AOC.gov!
